The Brickworks Museum
Introduction
The Brickworks Museum Bursledon wanted to replace an outdated website that was end of life. As a museum run solely on donations and mainly by volunteers their budget was limited so it was important to produce a cost effective solution.
The Project
Requirement
- Design and create a clean modern, fully mobile compliant, website to replace an existing website that reflects the image of the museum, using text and images from their existing site. The site should include additions for News and Events as well as being updatable by the client.
- Branding for both web and social media.
- Providing effective high quality on-going support and maintenance.
Solution
Through our design and development services we were able to create the website to the client’s specification, working with them to produce a modern, mobile compliant website.
Our chosen platform for the project was WordPress, which allows the client to easily update the website, write News articles and promote Events on a regular basis. We also added links to MailChimp for automatic Newsletter sign-up and links for Donations.
Feedback
“As a non-profit museum, we were looking for a cost effective company to bring to life the website we had in mind, replacing the very old, outdated one that we had. We needed the site to be able to showcase our Museum and allow us to add regular news and events to the sites ourselves. The website has now been completed and we are so excited to have it live!! It is so professionally done and easy to update, not to mention how great it looks and works with mobile devices. Thank you Mike and the team at mk: for the outstanding professional job you did for us. We highly recommend you for the quality and professionalism that we experienced every step of the way and look forward to a long lasting relationship.”
